Résumé
Dans cette conférence, ... Abstract Half a century of research in Papua New Guinea has shown that ethnomathematics is strong in PNG cultures and richly influences technologies. Significantly, capabilities for noticing and visuospatial reasoning are particularly strong with pattern and dynamic (including action) imagery extending problem solving. Furthermore, our early childhood project indicated how teachers could build on this strong ethnomathematical beginnings for school mathematics.
